Updated on Friday January 14: Additional tickets will go on sale Friday at 17.00/5pm.
The Norwegian government announced in their press conference Thursday evening that several of the strict regulations which have been in effect since mid-December, will now be somewhat eased up on.
For the film festival's sake, it is very joyful that the new regulations allow for 200 people in the audience at indoor, seated events. This means that we can increase ticket capacity substantially after today's ticket sale start with only 50 available seats in each theatre.
Please note that this does not mean that TIFF can allow for 200 people in the audience at every screening, there shall still be an empty seat between each person. This equals half capacity at most venues, and less than that at our biggest venues such as Fokus 1 and Kulturhuset.
These additional tickets will go on sale on Friday January 14 at 17.00/5pm.
When it comes to capacity, rules and regulations concerning our outdoor venue, the traditional Winter Cinema at Stortorget, more info will follow.
