Tromsø International Film Festival (TIFF) presents quality cinema to a broad audience. We organise Norway’s largest film festival, TIFF, held annually in January, and run year-round operations at Verdensteatret – Cinemateket in Tromsø, the silent film festival Silent Film Days, the children’s film festival TIFF Junior, and a range of other film-related projects locally, nationally, and internationally.

TIFF is a solid and stable success story, made possible by 14 full-time employees, an outstanding project team, 350 enthusiastic volunteers, strong supporters — and, not least, a fantastic audience.

About the position

The Producer is a key role within the foundation and holds overall responsibility for the production of events at Tromsø International Film Festival. The main focus of the position will be the film festival in January. Throughout the year, we also carry out several standalone projects for which the Producer is responsible, in collaboration with the foundation’s wider production team.

Desired competence:

• leadership — both of projects and people

• event production and logistics

• budgeting and financial management

Key responsibilities include:

• planning and progress management

• recruitment and leadership of project staff

• agreements and communication with suppliers and contributors

• event execution

• setup and dismantling of venues and event infrastructure

The workplace is Verdensteatret in Tromsø, and the Producer is expected to be present at this location throughout the year.

Documented results from larger events and project management are required. Additional and diverse experience will be considered an advantage.

Evening and weekend work must be expected during festival periods and special events.

Salary and start date by agreement. The position reports to the Festival Director.
