Bring a friend

In an effort to reclaim everyday life and normality, Tromsø International Film Festival and Verdensteatret has joined forces with Hålogaland Theatre, the Northern Lights Festival and the Arctic Philharmonic. With financial support from Samfunnsløftet in Sparebank1 Nord-Norge we are launching “Bring a Friend” which gives you an extra ticket for free when purchasing a ticket to a selection of our events. Why? So that you can bring a friend with you.

Here is how Bring a Friend works at Verdensteatret

You can bring a friend for free to our regular screenings at Verdensteatret throughout the month of March when purchasing a regular ticket. To do so you select the ticket category “Ordinær + ta med en venn” when purchasing a ticket to one of our screenings. It is only possible to purchase one ticket in this category, but when clicking through to the next step you’ll be able to collect a free ticket to the same screening. The offer is valid as long as we have available seats.

The program for March at Verdensteatret will be announced in late February. Check out Verdensteatret's website here! TIFF will also announce the program in its channels when it's out!

During Silent Film Days in April, you can bring a friend to a selection of shows in our festival program. Just choose "Ordinær + ta med en venn" when purchasing a ticket and collect a free ticket to the same screening in the next step.

Which shows you can bring a friend to during Silent Film Days will be announced towards the end of March.

About the project

Experiencing something together again. Together with family, together with friends. Just spending time together. That seems to be one of the most important things in life after almost two years in a pandemic standstill.

We have participated in one of our times greatest collective efforts. A global effort where keeping distance between us to prevent a virus from spreading have been the overall goal. We know that the feeling of loneliness has grown stronger among us when we all had to keep to ourselves. There has been a lack of contact and shared experiences. Now that we are gradually re-opening society a new challenge rises. We need a collective effort to bring people close again.

The Northern Lights Festival, Hålogaland Theatre, Arctic Philharmonic and TIFF, alongside Verdensteatret, have with the financial support from Samfunnsløftet in Sparebank1 Nord-Norge been given an opportunity to partake in this collective effort.

Bring a friend means that when you purchase a ticket to a selection of our shows, concerts and films you will get an extra ticket for free – so that you can bring a friend.
