TIFF firmly condemns Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

Tromsø International Film Festival was established right after the fall of the Iron Curtain. For the past 30 years, we have had extensive cultural and people-to-people collaborations with Russian filmmakers, artists, musicians and cultural actors. We present films from Russia and former Soviet republics in Norway, and we show Norwegian and films from the North in Russia. We believe it is essential for us as neighbors to better understand each other's culture and history. We believe peace-building work through art and culture is essential, and what is currently going on in Ukraine can neither be accepted nor excused.
