Tromsø International Film Festival has hired a new Head of Communications.  Sandra Indahl (29) will be part of the TIFF staff, after having been a part of the event agency VICAN. Sandra has worked as a producer for a number of events in VICAN, including the SMAK festival and Arctic Frontiers.

─ It will be exciting to work in an organization that has so much to tell and convey. Both the TIFF festival in January and the TIFF organization are consistently brave, relevant and challenging, and it will be nice to expand the program and concepts of TIFF to reach more people.

Sandra has a BA in Cultural Project Management with specialization in film from Lillehammer. She has also worked with film distribution both at the Nordic Youth Film Festival (NUFF), at TIFF and TIFF junior, where she has worked especially with distribution to and communication with children and young people. In several of the projects she has led up over the years, she has worked with communication, marketing and social media.

-Sandra is a real festival and event person with a background from the Bukta festival, the Nordic Youth Film Festival, Culture Night and the project Samdrift. She is offensive and skilled, and has delivered very well in all areas of the commitments she has previously had in TIFF. We look forward to having her on the TIFF staff, says festival director Lisa Hoen.

Sandra Indahl will formally take up the position on 1 June after former Head of Communications Håvard Stangnes started as an adviser in the Tromsø municipality.

─ TIFF as an organization is always on its toes, is creative, sees opportunities and dares to take chances and try new things. I myself have a close relationship with TIFF and have participated both as an audience member, volunteer and staff member. I'm really looking forward to getting started and inviting more people into dialogue with the film media.
