Digital screenings during TIFF!
After feedback from our audience TIFF has brought back a daily digital screening during the festival week!

Because of restrictions during the pandemic in 2021 and 2022, TIFF began offering digital screenings. In 2023 the festival went without a digital program, but after feedback from our audience we have worked to offer digital screenings once again.
-Feedback from our audience have shown that the digital screenings are missed, and therefore we have worked to create an offer for digital screenings. This makes it possible to attend the festival for those who are feeling ill, don't have a babysitter, has a long way to travel, or can't get to the screening venues for any other reason, says Lisa Hoen, Festival Director at TIFF.
Available in all of Norway
Tickets for the digital screenings can be bought like any other normal ticket at TIFF, and will be posted together with the ordinary ticket sale which begins on Monday January 8th at 08:00. Every day, a new film from the seven selected films will become available to watch. If you buy a ticket to a screening you will have the link available for 48 hours from the set screening time. The digital screenings will only be available to watch in Norway.
-It's worth to note that this means you can be anywhere in this country, and still be a part of the festival, says Hoen.
As with the ordinary screenings, the digital screenings can be sold out. So make sure to secure your tickets if you wish to watch one of these films during the festival.
A selection that shows the variety in the festival program
The seven films are selected from the various sidebars, and in that way shows the variety in the festival program.
-The films chosen is a selection from this year's festival program. Here you can find Films From the North, international titles, both documentary and fiction films. Among these you can find the Canadian film Riceboy Sleeps, which will not be distributed in the Norwegian cinemas, and you can find the Samí film The Tundra Within Me which will premiere during TIFF. In conclusion: there is a lot to look forward to, Hoen finnishes.
