A selection of feature length fiction and documentary films is presented in competition within the Films from the North program. The films must have their Norwegian premiere at TIFF to be eligible. The director of the winning film is given 5000 Euros.
Since expanding the Films from the North to include feature length films in 2019, this year’s edition counts a record high number of fiction films and documentaries in the long format. The impressive growth in quality as well as quantity, has spurred us to establish a competition for the FFN Features, to honor the directors and further strengthen this program.
