19-25 January
2026
Get ready for laughs and family fun! TIFF Junior presents the animated favorite Shrek on Saturday, January 24.
Shrek is not like other heroes. He is a cynical, stubborn, weird and very green ogre, who is not very happy when his swamp gets crowded by misplaced, and in his eyes, annoying fairy tale creatures. In order to get his swamp back, he must embark on his own adventure.
Shrek has captivated audiences since the film’s release 25 years ago. Watch this film phenomenon on the big screen, for free, at our Winter Cinema!
Together with the Rabalder Festival and Save the Children North we welcome you to a day filled with activities and entertainment.
Come to the family day and get ready for TIFF Junior 2026, Tromsø’s very own film festival for children and youth!
Please note that the film will be screened in Norwegian.
