The Mohican

Watch trailer

Goat farmer Joseph leads a simple life in Corsica until the local mafia shows up, looking to buy the land he leases. Joseph is a man who refuses to be pushed out—but what happens when someone who isn’t an action hero has to flee from the mafia?

Luckily, Joseph knows a thing or two about Corsica’s rugged terrain from his years as a goat farmer. He is joined by his niece, who organizes a grassroots rebellion against the mafia through her social media posts using the hashtag #TheLastMohican.

The Mohican is a realistic twist on a man-on-the-run film, where Alexis Manenti delivers a strong performance as the fearful yet defiant goat farmer on the run. The film also addresses the problematic aspects of Corsica's mass tourism and corruption in an engaging way.
