Josefine installs the world's fattest bass box in her car before her evening date with Billy. Young love fills the night air, but the loud music does not impress everyone. Soon, the date turns into a horrific battle for life and death, somewhere in the dark forests of Northern Sweden.
Jakob Arevärn has directed the SVT documentaries Folkrace and EPA, the latter of which won the Tromsø Palm in 2020. These films depict motor culture in Västerbotten’s inland region, and in the short film Epadunk (2025), fiction is now combined with the documentary insights he gained from his earlier works.
