One evening, in order to prove his worth to his peers, Henrik (11) is challenged to watch yet another playlist of violent internet videos, each more disturbing and real than the last. A study of experiences not unknown to many young people, and what may unfold when adults aren't paying attention.
Emil Engesnes Bråthen (b. 1997) is a Norwegian filmmaker and video artist, whose work explores our consumerist relationship with violent media as entertainment. The artist's goal is to incite the viewers' intellectual independence and raise our awareness surrounding the emotional tools used by filmmakers that trivialize violence and numb our senses.
