Hermes II: Films at Sea!
Join us for an extraordinary experience when we show films on board the cutter Hermes II. The spectacular northern Norwegian coastal scenery out on the deck is accompanied by an intimate film screening downstairs in the lounge.
When you watch a film on a boat, what fits better than a film about the sea, fisheries and Northern Norway's future? We are screening two documentaries from the Film from the North programme, both of which have their world premiere at the Tromsø International Film Festival 2023: The Coastal Warrior (director: Hans Eirik Voktor) and Mermaid (director: Eilif Bremer Landsend).
The tour will be hosted by director Eilif Bremer Landsend.
The cutter docks at Torghuken near Stortorget in Tromsø. Along the way, Hermes II offers aperitifs and delicious fish soup. The bar is also open.
Hermes II is a beautifully restored wooden boat from 1917, a unique piece of northern Norwegian coastal history that still sails in our Arctic waters. Read more about the boat: https://www.hermes2.no
