While burying their beloved dog, a father and son find that the shared work and silence speak louder than words, quietly leading them back into connection with one another. The filmmaker experiments with camera position and timelapse, underlining a play with time and creating a framework that gives room for the viewer to reflect.
Steiní Kristinsson is an Icelandic director. He started making short films at a young age and became increasingly interested in film. In 2019, he moved to Reykjavík to study, and later made The One Who Went South.
