The Morrigan

Many centuries ago, hostile tribes captured a Celtic queen, executed her, and buried her in a stone cave. Since then, she has been waiting for an opportunity to avenge the injustice she suffered. In Irish mythology, she is called The Morrigan. In the present day, we meet the archaeologist Fiona, who is leading an excavation of what she believes to be the grave of this mythological figure. With her is her daughter Lily, a rebellious teenager recently expelled from school. When Fiona succeeds in retrieving a coffin containing a mummified body from the ancient burial chamber, it is Lily who, driven by an inexplicable urge, opens it...

Fiona is forced to confront a growing, supernatural threat to save her daughter. The isolation, the escalating violence, and the dark forces reflect an ancient conflict between gender and power. Fiona must navigate betrayal and fear in an attempt to stop the war goddess's reign of terror before she escapes the island.
