Baby

Rosanna's life as a teenage mother in the Northern Swedish countryside can be draining and lonely. When her friends show up one summer evening, the boundaries between her own longings as a teenager and the obligations that follow motherhood become blurred. A film about wanting to stay young while needing to grow up.

Director

André Vaara is a writer/director born in Lapland, Sweden. His filmmaking often explores personal origins and experiences with identity, gender, and power. His portrayal of an unconventional friendship between two young men in a conservative Swedish town, I Want to See Gellivare Burn, has been screened and awarded at several festivals.
