It is with great pleasure that we invite audience, festival guests and all party lovers to celebrate the 33rd edition of TIFF!

On Saturday, January 21st, TIFF will host a night of dancing, lounging, and fun activities at Storgata Camping. The party will feature live performances by A Million Pineapples, Kinsella, DJ Nefertiti, nonne, Tøndra, The Dodge Brothers as well as a big surprise band in collaboration with Rakettnatt.

A big thank you to our friends at Riddu Riđđu for the help with the event!

A Million Pineapples is a Tromsø-based indie pop quintet known for their catchy and energetic live shows. They have gained a reputation for their melodic and playful songs, inspired by the fun appearance and taste of pineapples. In recent years, they have performed at festivals such as Buktafestivalen, Øyafestivalen, and By:Larm. In 2021, they released their debut album "Storyteller" under Mano Music and signed with FKP Scorpio for a nationwide tour. They are currently working on new music and have exciting plans for 2023. A Million Pineapples is the official TIFF Band of TIFF 2023.

Kinsella is the stage name of Bjørk-Guinevere Kinsella Eid, a classically trained pianist and composer who is currently studying live electronics at the Norwegian Academy of Music. She has performed at several festivals and is known for her beautiful and exciting soundscapes and is highly regarded by fans and critics alike. She has also received several scholarships and grants for her work. Kinsella was presented as part of Insomnia’s talent program Cloud: Exit.

DJ Nefertiti, also known as Idil, is a Norwegian-Somali DJ who brings African and Arabic music genres, such as afrohouse, kwaito, highlife, and kizomba, to the Oslo dance scene. She saw a lack of venues in the city for these types of music, and started her own club nights at The Villa, Internasjonalen, Turkish Delight, and Jaeger. Over the years, her music has become more popular, and she is known for her ability to spread the message of African and Arabic music.

nonne is a Tromsø-based psychedelic rock duo made up of Gustav Eidsvik and Erlend Skotnes. The two artists have a long history of playing together in various bands in Tromsø and have come together to form nonne with the goal of creating something simple, real, and honest. nonne was presented as part of Insomnia’s talent program Cloud: Exit

Tøndra is a Sámi duo from Finnmark, Norway that plays dark and danceable electronic music inspired by the harsh and unforgiving nature in the north. They are playing with many different elements from different musical styles, like electronica, underground techno, house and yoik.

The Dodge Brothers are a skiffle-and-blues band producing ‘tunes of proven merit’ – new songs written and performed in the old style, harking back to the days of jug-band blues and early rock’n’roll. The band has an authentically American tang, with a strong British perspective. They have released three albums and have played at venues ranging from The Roundhouse to the Royal Albert Hall. They have also provided live music for films and at TIFF 2023 you can experience them playing at the SILENT FILM CONCERT: CITY GIRL.
