The Grammar of Rape

When doing a syntactic analysis of “I was raped”, the receiver has to look and listen to the statement again and again. The sound of the words turns into a picture and the picture becomes a fact that we cannot turn ourselves away from or ignore.

Director

Lise Ulvedahl (b. 1994) from Denmark has a background in lingustics and performance and is currently studying Moving Images at Nordland College of Art and Film, where she explores topics of sexuality, taboos and language.
