Ninjababy (Opening Film/World Premiere)

Astronaut, forest ranger, comic book artist. Rakel has plenty of plans, none of which include motherhood. She wants to party, get high, drink beer, not spend hours on the toilet or gulping down one carton of tropical juice after the other. But ignoring a baby is hard, whether it's a drawing of her own creation or the actual baby inside of her. What's the right choice in a situation like this? Can she prioritize herself over a baby?

Rakel is played by Kristine Thorp, in her first lead role in a feature film after proving her talent in several short films. Surrounded by a small but excellent ensemble of actors, Thorp portrays Rakel's stubbornness and insecurities with refreshing candor. Yngvild Sve Flikke's sophomore feature is a sharp comedy, contrasting the trivial questions of adolescence with the ruthless realities of adulthood. Loosely based on the award-winning comic book "Fallteknikk" by Inga Sætre, Ninjababy brings her drawings to the big screen in a unique and humorous way.
