Queers in the Middle East often face a combination of religion, strong beliefs, and a society condemning them for who they are. Scenes with Hani Assaf, known under the drag name Frida Marida, are set in dialogue with excerpts of a phone conversation the filmmaker has with a friend.
Kevin Berro (21) is a Lebanese and Argentinian Oslo-based actor and director. Since he was 9, he has had different roles in films, TV, and theater. At 17 he began directing low-budget films with young filmmakers for international festivals. He has worked as a coordinator for the Nordic Youth Film Festival.
