Welcome to an outdoor family screening of the adventurous animation Ainbo in the Northern Sámi language!
One day, Ainbo discovers that the jungle she lives in, the precious rainforest of the Amazonas, is threatened by greedy humans wanting to cut it all down. Ainbo is determined to save her forest and people before it’s too late, and so starts a challenging journey with her clumsy friends Dillo and Vaca.
The screening is in collaboration with Save the Children Nord, who will serve a light meal and candy, and International Sámi Film Institute.
NOTE: The screening is in Northern Sami with Norwegian subtitles.
Peruvian debut director José Zelada grew up visiting his mother’s home village in the Amazonas and says the film is inspired by her. Richard Claus (b. 1950) is born in Germany and graduated from the German Film and Television Academy in Berlin in 1976 before launching a rich career of directing, producing and distributing films.
