Split City

In 1980s Härnösand, a group of unaccompanied Eritrean boys faced mounting anti-refugee sentiment. When 17-year-old Sara founded the anti-racist movement "5i12," the town seemed ready for change — until she and her friend Sylvia were murdered by one of the refugees. After the tragedy, the town got shooked by burning crosses and attacks. Thirty years later, filmmaker Bo Johan Sörensen returns to his hometown to understand how it all went so terribly wrong.
