Red-Shaded Green

This poetic film questions the very sustainability of combating climate change when green energy is pursued at the expense of traditional Sámi life and culture. It asks whether replacing one form of environmental destruction with another can truly be considered progress.

Director

Johannes Vang is a Kven-Sámi director form Northern Norway. Together with his sister, Wilhelmina Vang, he makes films about Arctic Indigenous culture, identity and society.
