My Grandfather's language

In the early 1920s, the Spanish flu made Inari Sami Ulpu’s grandfather an orphan. Now, 100 years after Hannu was in the orphanage, his granddaughter has taken the first steps to take back her ancestors' language and introduce it to her own family.

Jukka Vuorela-Morottaja is a filmmaker and a screenwriter from Inari. As a filmmaker and as a storyteller he’s keen to tell stories that touch people. He believes that the best stories and movies are made when the filmmaker has a personal bond with the subject.
