TIFF Digital

This year, you can watch 7 films from the festival program digitally! Here you will find everything you need to know about our digital screenings.

Check out our daily digital screening! This is a great offer for those who are unable to attend our physical screenings and/or for those who wish to catch an extra film towards the end of the day! The screenings are only available in Norway.

Ticket Sales

Tickets for the digital screenings are purchased in the usual manner. It's possible to buy individual tickets, use ticket cards/gift cards, and collect accreditation tickets. Ticket sales start on Monday, January 6th at 08:00. Please note that also the digital screenings can sell out.

How it works

Once you've purchased a ticket, you'll receive a link to the screening in your email. This link will be active for 48 hours from the specified start time of the screening; therefore, the film must be completed within this time frame.

Example: If a film lasts 1 hour and 30 minutes, you must start it no later than 46 ½ hours from the scheduled start time to finish watching it.

NOTE: After you've started playing the film, it must be completed within 24 hours.

Technical Details

Resolution: All films will be in HD - 1080p and H264 encoded, similar to most major streaming services. Audio will primarily be in stereo. If experiencing slow internet, reducing the resolution in the TicketCo TV player may improve quality. If the resolution appears low while casting from another device, you might need to stop playback and switch to 1080p instead of "auto." When starting the film or fast-forwarding, the film may need a minute for buffering to achieve a stable, good picture.

Broadcast: Wondering how to broadcast the film on TV, your computer, or another screen? Read more here.
